Army JCO killed, civilian injured in ceasefire violation by Pak along LoC

Jammu, Nov 26: A junior commissioned officer (JCO) of the military was killed and a civilian injured as Pakistani troops shelled and fired on ahead posts and villages alongside the Line of Management in Jammu and Kashmir”s Poonch district on Thursday, officers stated.

The unprovoked ceasefire violation occurred in Qasba and Kirni sectors within the district, the officers stated.

The JCO was injured within the firing at round 1.30 pm and was taken to a army hospital, the place he succumbed to the accidents, they stated.

The civilian, Mohmmad Rashid has been shifted to GMC hospital in Jammu for specialised therapy, the officers stated.
